Description of materials

 

  • Olympic discus: Olympic discs are round weights designed to be used with an Olympic bar. They are made of durable materials such as cast iron, steel or rubber and have a standard central diameter of 50 mm.
  • Olympic bar: The Olympic bar is a metal bar designed specifically for weightlifting. It has a standard weight of 20 kg, with a length of about 2.2 metres.
  • Storage: Olympic discs are stored on special supports or disc trees that have poles to place the discs according to their weight.
  • Other: Tops, also known as locking collars, are used to secure the discs in place on the Olympic bar, preventing them from slipping or moving during weightlifting.

Exercise Description of
Squats Put the bar on your back with records. It performs bending and extension movements of the knees and hips.
Dead weight Lift the bar from the floor to the hip keeping your back straight.
Banking press Lie on a bench, lift the bar from your chest to your outstretched arms.
Clean Jerk Lift the floor bar to the shoulder (clean) and then above the head (jerk).
Front Squats Place the bar in front of your shoulders and do squats holding the position.
Military Press Lift the bar from your shoulders to your head.
Barbell Hip Thrusts Put your back on a bench with the bar on your hips and lift them up.
Barbell curls Hold the bar in front of you and do curls to work your biceps.
Sumo deadlift Perform a deadlift with a wider leg posture and the bar between the legs.
